Hope Crisis Center proudly provides advocacy, education, and confidential emergency services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Saline, Seward, Thayer, and York Counties. It is our mission to unconditionally support and serve the diverse needs of survivors as they navigate the challenges associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, and other forms of abuse. We are committed to assisting and holding space for them as they re-discover their power and move forward in their lives. We also strive to inspire our communities to action and social change, thereby eliminating the conditions that allowed violence to thrive in the first place.<\/p>\n

If a survivor speaks a language other than English or Spanish, we can network with other programs and translation services to meet their needs. We know the first steps are the hardest. Emergency needs such as food, clothing, hygiene items, and housing assistance can be provided for those fleeing from abusive situations.<\/em><\/p>\n

The legal system can be overwhelming. Protection order assistance, legal referrals, and court accompaniments are available as needed. <\/em><\/p>\n

Sometimes you just need someone to be there. We can be present during sexual assault exams to support survivors, advise them of their rights, and explain the process. We can also make referrals to healthcare providers (including mental healthcare providers) and accompany survivors to appointments as needed.<\/em><\/p>\n
